She's the one who…
Still talks about her grandmother's kitchen like it was yesterday
Drives out of her way for the real thing — not the grocery store version
Gets quiet for a second when food tastes exactly like something she grew up with
Knows the difference between food that's made and food that's manufactured
If someone just came to mind — our Birthday Cookie Gifts are for her.
You could send flowers. You could grab a gift card. But you already know she deserves something that feels like her.
Romero Cookies are handcrafted from a South Texas family recipe — the kind that was never written down, just passed on. For the first time, that kind of cookie is packaged beautifully enough to give with pride and shipped anywhere in the country.
Because that feeling — of food that carries memory, love, and somebody's hands in it — doesn't belong to one table. It belongs to everyone who's ever had a bite of something and been taken back somewhere special.
That's what you're giving her.
Watch our Handmade Mexican birthday cookies get baked, packed and shipped from our kitchen in Denver, Colorado to your door.

Our cookies, known as "Pan de Polvo" were first made in Texas's Rio Grande Valley- the same year I was born - 1981.
This photo is from my 7th birthday.
Like every birthday in our family, the table was filled with the sweet things my dad baked at his bakery—cakes, cookies, and the treats our family had been making for generations.
For years, those cookies were part of every celebration we had.
When my dad retired, those cookies disappeared too. And I missed them more than I expected. They weren’t just dessert—they were part of the way our family celebrated birthdays, gathered in kitchens, and showed love.
So I decided to bring them back.
Romero Cookies was born so that these same 'pan de polve' cookies—made from our family’s recipes—could continue to be part of birthdays, celebrations, and everyday moments for other families too.
Because some traditions are too special to let disappear.
Romero’s Churro "Stella" cookies are similar to the traditional biscochito, reimagined through our family’s recipe and shaped into delicate stars. They are nut-free and also without anise- a popular ingredient in traditonal biscochitos. Our Stella cookies honor the spirit of the beloved Southwestern cookie while bringing a beautiful, gift-worthy touch to modern celebrations.
