We’re Hiring: Part-Time Operations Associate

Romero Mexican Cookies is growing, and we’re looking for a part-time Operations Associate (up to 20 hours/week from September–December) to join our team. This is a chance to get hands-on experience in e-commerce, food production, and business operations at a fast-growing CPG startup.

About Romero Cookies

We’re a Latina-owned, small-batch cookie company rooted in four generations of Mexican-American baking tradition. Based in Denver, we ship nostalgic, fresh-baked cookies across the U.S. for celebrations, gifts, and cultural moments that matter.

As we scale, we need someone to help keep our operations running smoothly so we can keep delighting customers coast to coast.

Why This Role Matters

Operations Associates are the backbone of e-commerce startups. You’ll be at the center of our business, learning how orders, inventory, packaging, shipping, and customer service all come together.

This is an entry-level role — no prior e-commerce experience required. If you’re organized, eager to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do

  • Process online orders and keep track of inventory

  • Communicate with customers about orders, shipping, and returns

  • Support production and packaging (cookies + tins = joy!)

  • Coordinate with suppliers and shipping partners

  • Help refine processes as we grow (and teach others what you learn)

  • Jump in where needed — startup style

What We’re Looking For

  • A problem-solver who asks good questions

  • Comfortable using basic tech tools (Google Suite, spreadsheets, online platforms)

  • Detail-oriented — you notice when something feels “off”

  • Flexible and adaptable when things change quickly

  • High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required
