This beautiful card features traditional milagros, the small symbolic charms found throughout Mexican folk art and spiritual traditions. The message “Love, Hope, Healing to You” carries a heartfelt blessing—one that’s often expressed in Mexican culture through gestures of care, prayer, and community support.

Milagros, which means “miracles” in Spanish, are often given as tokens of gratitude, protection, or intention. Each charm represents a wish or prayer—for health, love, strength, or guidance—and they are traditionally offered to bring comfort and hope during meaningful moments in life. This card draws from that tradition, offering a simple but powerful message meant to uplift and encourage.

Whether someone is going through a difficult time, beginning a new chapter, or simply in need of a reminder that they are cared for, this card sends a blessing of love, hope, and healing. Add it to a tin of Romero cookies to share a thoughtful gesture that nourishes both the heart and the spirit.

  • Printed by hand in Washington State ----- What is Risograph? A risograph is a stencil duplicator that fuses the look and process of screenprinting with the technology of a modern photocopier. It provides a unique method for creating beautiful art prints. Risograph is an imperfect printing process. You may find your products vary slightly in ink coverage or have small roller marks. In our mind, these are part of the charm of the process.

FAQ

What are Mexican Wedding Cookies?

Mexican Wedding Cookies — also known as polvorones, pan de polvo, Russian tea cakes, or snowball cookies — are delicate, melt-in-your-mouth cookies dusted in powdered sugar. Romero Cookies are made from a 40-year family recipe, perfect for weddings, holidays, and everyday celebrations.

Are Romero Cookies the same as biscochitos or bizcochitos?

While they look similar, Romero Mexican Wedding Cookies are not biscochitos. They don’t contain anise and are not made with lard. We often hear regional debates about cookie names — try ours and you might prefer them!

What makes Romero Cookies authentic?

Our recipe has been in the Romero family for over 40 years. Every cookie is handmade in our Denver kitchen with simple, high-quality ingredients that melt in your mouth.

How long do Romero Mexican Wedding Cookies stay fresh?

Our cookies stay fresh for up to 90 days in tins or favor containers and about 30 days if placed in a cookie tray. While freezing won’t harm them, we recommend enjoying them fresh for the best flavor and texture.

Are Mexican Wedding Cookies just for weddings?

Not at all! While they began as a wedding tradition, Mexican Wedding Cookies are now enjoyed at birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and everyday gatherings. They also make thoughtful gifts for teachers, coworkers, and family.
